What is a designer by Norman Potter

Norman Potter was an academic and a political activist around the 1950s in England, UK.

The book What is a designer: things, places, messages shows it’s age in the sometimes serpentine fashion which Potter goes about explaining things. However, once deciphered, it asks important introspective questions of a designer, and provokes thought regarding what type of a designer one wants to be.

Talking about designers as artisans, craftsmanship, and business, I found reading this book in my second year of education to be striking and give my trajectories a second thought.
